Coconut (Husked) Specification
1. Physical Characteristics:
- Appearance: Brown, oval to round in shape, smooth surface 
- Form: Whole, mature coconut with outer husk removed (shell intact) 
- Size: Medium to large, uniform size preferred for packaging 
- Weight: - Average: 400g – 700g per nut 
- Export Grade: 500g – 650g (depending on buyer requirement) 
 
2. Maturity:
- Fully mature (11–12 months from flowering) 
- Ideal for copra, oil extraction, or culinary use 
3. Water Content:
- Minimal water content (5% to 10%) 
- Husked coconuts are typically semi-dried or dry for better shelf life 
4. Shelf Life:
- 30–60 days in cool, dry conditions (can vary based on moisture and packaging) 
5. Kernel Quality:
- White, firm, thick coconut meat 
- Free from mold, rancidity, or any sour odor 
6. Impurities:
- Free from external damage, cracks, pests, and foreign matter 
7. Grading (Optional):
- Grade A: 550g – 650g, uniform color and shape 
- Grade B: 450g – 549g, slight variation in shape 
- Grade C: Below 450g or slightly irregular nuts 
8. Packaging:
- Common Options: - 25 – 30 nuts per PP woven sack or mesh bag 
- Custom packaging available upon request 
 
- Labeling: Can be customized with brand, origin, weight, etc. 
9. Export Details:
- Container Capacity: - 20 ft container: ~10,000 – 11,000 husked coconuts 
- 40 ft container: ~22,000 – 24,000 husked coconuts
